In a Yin yoga practice, generally speaking, all the postures are sitting – and all the postures are held for sustained periods of time (often five minutes). Within these long holds there is an encouragement of softness and an emphasis on relaxing muscular tissue. Through these attitudes there can be a gaining of harmony and peace: so there is a greater ease, a deeper sense of balance, feelings of calmness and acceptance.

Soft Vinyasa

A soft vinyasa yoga class is a gentle, flowing style of yoga that connects breath with movement, typically at a slower pace than a strong vinyasa class. The focus is on mindful transitions, alignment, and a meditative approach rather than intensity or speed. The class emphasizes grounding, nourishment, and gentle strength-building.

The class includes pranayama, somatic movements, and easing into asanas that flow together smoothly. Movements are done with intention, allowing time to explore each pose and deepen the mind-body connection.

The overall aim of a soft vinyasa class is to rejuvenate, restore, and cultivate a sense of inner peace.

Strong Vinyasa

In this class, students move through a continuous sequence of asanas linked by the rhythm of the breath, with a focus on strength, stability, and endurance. The flow is typically faster and more dynamic than a soft vinyasa, yet it maintains a grounding in yoga’s deeper goals of unity.

Dynamic meditation that is both challenging and fluid. The focus is on building internal heat. The flow is based on Ashtanga, Rocket, Hatha and Prana Vashya. Everybody is welcome, there will be options for beginners as for advantage yogi’s. Come and deepen your practice.
